One thing puzzling me is that the MSE download was blocked... Now that's normally the behaviour of a trojan/malware..

Defirish can I suggest you also run explicit antimalware tools (you can uninstall delete later) such as Anti-malwarebytes and spybot S&D

Will def try later. The one you gave me this Morning is running brill and have done a virus check and nothing has shown up

Good, it's simple to use but not infallible.... I use it in conjunction with the anti-malwarebytes and it keep most things at bay

Just spend half a day at a computer clinic shop and my problem was that I had deleted Windows defender but for some reason it was still on in the background and also my setting were all over the place and not a virus in sight. So have it all sorted now and Kymmy the AV you gave me is working a treat. So thanks so much for everything.

Dont know why the settings went the way they did as I wouldn't even know where to begin to change them. I think my laptop has got a mind of It's own at this stage :D

think you will have delete them when you unistalled it
