I think the light just indicates whether it's working or broken, I've got a v4 which doesn't support disabling of wireless but has the light anyway.

Urm i wouldn't have thought of that!
There is not a switch of any kind on the router there is an ariel and a power cable and 3 ethernet cables and that is it |

If you ever notice that WLAN light flashing then it means someone is using your connection, phone the police.
