Re: What Adverts do you hate the most?
I remember the Max Headroom episode which depicted a shopping channel (this was years before the actual Shopping Channel existed - score one for Max's writers!); Max's comment: "Finally, a channel with no advert breaks!"
Like Dirty Harry, I'm not prejudiced; I hate them all equally. "Do security guards ever throw a party, and if they do...do they let each other in?" - Max Headroom, "Security Systems" |
Re: What Adverts do you hate the most?
Most new album/single ads.
They all follow the same formula and have almost the same script. They all have a sample from said single or album and a voiceover saying that this is best single/album this year/decade/century/eternity and that it is available on CD/download now/soon. These ads are not so irritating themselves, but when you see three or four of them in a row (which Channel 4 loves to do), they get a little boring. |

Re: What Adverts do you hate the most?
I hate the BT 'best WIFI' network claim adverts .... with that plank complaining he's 'lost connection'. That'll be because of the BT network.. NOT your WIFI, unless you live in a castle.

Re: What Adverts do you hate the most?
All those ads claiming its not your fault for falling over, and that someone "should" compensate you, with their help of course.
Also those insincere celebrities telling us about how great it is to borrow money from some non entity company, as if they'd know! |
