Who says we're interest in him? Who says that Arsenal are interested in him?

It suits Sanchez's agent that world+dog are interested in signing his client to bump up his signing-on fee and value.

In fact, Suarez isn't going anywhere yet as there's the small matter of payment to resolve! Have Barca finished paying for Fabregas yet?

Sources close to Liverpool.
Sources close to Arsenal.

Actually there are only a select few clubs that have been mentioned which is crazy hey.

Barcelona will pay installments whether or not Liverpool like it. No they haven't yet completed the purchase. There is a small amount left but its not much. Arsenal managed to get 5 odd m out of his move to Chelsea. Barcelona were trying to get out of that

I reckon he would have sold to Arsenal had they offered another 20-30M.

I don't like the sound of Dejan Lovren, he doesn't seem like a particularly savoury character. Don't like players trying to push for moves... if you have other ideas then don't sign a contract.

Liverpool Echo and Tony Barnett of the Times both said both clubs are interested. Also why wouldn't they be? Especially Liverpool given the Suarez deal, it would have suited them well.

Definitely, Tony Barrett is usually spot-on. I think the crux is whether or not either club decides to make a serious bid and I don't think we have in the end with Markovic looking set to join next week so he will probably go to Arsenal or a.n. other club. It makes sense for the media to keep Liverpool's interest in the frame to big-up the fees though.

I don't think Sanchez would have ever been seen as a direct replacement for Suarez, but, I can see why he would be reluctant to be seen as a makeweight in a transfer.

I don't have many fears on op 4 to be honest this time around. After these two signings go through it'll be time to get a DM and GK sorted. I expect a loan deal on the GK front. DM I'm not too sure. Inflated prices and all. Arsenal cannot afford to not sign though.

Been told Arsenal will pay less than 30m for Alexis. Lallana was 25. Fair valuation u think considering age, goal record, experience?

Not seen much to be honest Den, don't really follow the liga Sagres. I would like to think that our scouts did their work last season though.

I've seen a couple of pictures where he looks like Harry from Dumb and Dumber but that's about it.

It's not good for any team to drop out of the Champions League places but I don't see why it's worse for Arsenal than Liverpool? Arsenal are a relatively conservative club, even with these signings, and generate a substantial income from their stadium and their sponsorship deals. Liverpool don't have that stadium and are actually trying to fund expansion. I would say the finances at Liverpool are more precarious than that at Arsenal and it's Liverpool who would lose more.

I don't have many fears on op 4 to be honest this time around. After these two signings go through it'll be time to get a DM and GK sorted. I expect a loan deal on the GK front. DM I'm not too sure. Inflated prices and all. Arsenal cannot afford to not sign though.

The English premium is absurd. Lallana £25 million, Sanchez (reportedly) £30 million. Fabregas £30 million.

And what about Fulham who are in the Championship who have forked out £11 million for a average player today.

Napoli have been put off by Southamptons 20m price tag...
