Did the Labour candidate for Guildford nearly lose his deposit? He got 5.06% and IIRC the limit is 5%.

It's gonna be close but it looks as if the Tory need to win some unexpected seats to get Majority.

Exeter is Lab Hold. Tories fail to gain Angus which was number 41 on their list. Swings are all over the place.

Er, no, because Labour is also a unionist party and it will remain the largest Westminster party by far. Labour may not be the Westminster government after this, but there is still an overwhelming support for unionist parties in Scotland.

Sure, Salmond will use the results to press his pet cause, but he had better not be too noisy about it, or else someone might point out that his own party's share of the vote has actually dropped.

The BNP are unlikely to win Barking and their share of the vote, as the moment, has increased but by a small amount so that's quite good! We always hear about all these hidden BNP supporters but their numbers are never shown in the polls.

Such a difference between Cameron and Brown.

Brown drones on with a completely boiler plate speech. Even he sounds fed up and bored about saying about protecting the recovery, the armed forces, etc. Cameron sounds passionate and far more dynamic than Brown.

Yes but it's the Lib Dems choice. They haven't had a great showing so far so I don't think it would look good or really work if they partnered with Labour when neither gained seats.
