Apparently Mourinho is willing to sell Torres and Mata. I'd be very surprised if they sell Mata, thought he was their best player by far last season.

he can if he bloody spends the money available on true quality able to push us on not differ on it then end up with some lame buys.

Arsene has waved his magic wand again by grabbing CL, it is an achievement but its not enough for many many fans, analysis of the season will highlight Arsenal were 16 points behind Utd. Arsenal had the second best defense in the league

Asked of the fans calls for him to come back he answered thats hes literally at every home game ;) when pressed he said of course, everyone knows I love Arsenal. Dein was then asked of Usmanov. He says its bizarre that someone with such a vast amount of shares in the club to not be on the board.

On Arsene strengthening. Wenger wants to strengthen and will but the environment is very competitive. Patrick Vieira was chased by Real Madrid every window and Dein had to call Patrick to ask where he was going on his summer holiday so he could join him making sure no Real Madrid seniors get to him. Dein use to go to the African Cup Of Nations and hardly anyone was there but now its a completely different story. Arsenal scouts all over the world are looking for talent to add to the squad.

On England. The quality coming through needs to be better, simple as that.

We desperately needed midfielders.

We have only Yaya in central position. Barry and Milner are either too slow/not good enough for that role.

Fernandinho therefore necessary signing.

We desperately needed width and pace. Navas solves that problem. We had a real lack of creativity last year.

We also need to sell tevez & dzeko and sign replacement striker.

He certainly doesn't know everything, that's why his Twitter feed is so barren. However when he does post I don't think there is anyone better. He has always been right so far. Most impressive was M'Vila when everyone was reporting it was a done deal he came and said not only was it not a done deal but contact hadn't even been made. He was right.

Of course it's worth noting what he said. He said the release clause for Fellani hadn't been met, not that we weren't in for him, and The Times' story didn't say we had made a bid yet. :)

I stand by what I said about Higuain, top quality which I'd love at Arsenal. Gooners voice that he doesnt turn up in big games but they fail to register the fact his time at Real has been up and down and even throughout that look at this..

Higuain in my opinion is still a rough diamond. Wenger could get more out of him. may be not Messi Ronaldo heights but he could get closer .

He won't be on a hundred grand a week, he'll be on what he's on now, slightly less in terms of basic, we have a hack on new606 who has close links to the club.
As for the fee, I think it's probably a fair price.

Wenger wants Higuain

Jorge Higuain, father of Real Madrid striker, on Friday met with Arsène Wenger, Arsenal London, to discuss the possible signing of Argentine tip.

MARCA.com has been told the meeting was fruitful and everything is on track to finally produce an agreement. Higuain's family is happy with the proposed plans from London, while Arsenal would receive him with open arms.

Jorge Higuain will now have to move the offer received by Arsenal to Real Madrid. The white club calls in principle, 30 million euros by Gonzalo Higuain. The figure proposed by the Arsenal does not reach this amount, but the English club hopes that the player will help close the deal for less money.

http://www.marca.com/2013/06/08/futb...370702203.html
30m euros is around 25m pounds.

Well, you've got:

City, Utd and Chelsea battling for title. I see Che and City being the 2 that inevitably break away in the last few weeks of the season. (it always ends up being 2).

Then you have Spurs and Arsenal battling for the best of the rest.

You have to fancy Everton will probably drop abit now. Their "success" if you can call it that was mainly in stifling superior opposition as opposed to imposing their game on lesser sides who they didn't do as well against. I can't see Martinez getting the same commitment levels against the best sides.

So therefore, I see Liverpool comfortably 6th best. However, should they improve as they should, perhaps challenge spurs and arsenal.

Not convinced about Cavani, not for that much £££ anyway.

I think Aguero will score 30 goals next season. I don't think we need to pay £50m for an understudy, as we will almost certainly play with 1 up front next season.

Me neither apart from FFP obviously so it does matter.

I think we will definitely sell Dzeko and I would get rid of Tevez too, if only to shut up the idiotic fans who moan/boo whenever he is subbed as though he is some demigod.

If we are playing with a 4-3-3 type system with only 1 striker, I don't see how you can have 2 star strikers as 1 will always be benched. (rotation etc... but the big league/European games will be played by 1 of the 2 who will always have priority over the other) And how do you keep that 2nd striker happy?

It makes more sense to me to have a reserve striker who is happy to fulfil the role of "back-up". Don't ask me to name a striker though!
