I'm a big fan of Tivo. and agree with you... but; multiroom streaming... well, kind of mess. The main channels that would have made it a good USP, just aren't there. Whether that is purely licensing, or VM not prepared to pay an extra cost to obtain the licensing, who knows? It sounds as if Sky may have covered that aspect, though only time will tell. Quote:

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
I wonder if the new Sky boxes will be as slow as the Tivo box though? I prefer watching my tv in the bedroom on the V HD box but occasionally I watch some stuff in the living room and it`s then I see the slowness most on Tivo. Any idea anyone why it should be this way?

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Looks like La Liga TV rights are being sold by two organisations, though not to say that Sky and BT could not buy them all.
1. Four clubs (Barcelona, Celta Vigo, Espanyol and Real Sociedad) recently agreed Spanish TV deals with Telefonica. International TV rights for their home matches will also be sold by Telefonica. 2. The remaining 38 clubs from the top two divisions in Spain including Real Madrid will have their international rights sold by long-standing partner Mediapro which ironically is based in Barcelona. https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/...0801--sow.html |
