And we are out ffs i do hope van marwijk does the easy thing and resign as this was a very very poor showing of our lot

I don't see him staying on. He'll have lost the support of the players, and not fancy his chances for the next tournament. It doesn't make sense for him to stay on.

Worst tournament ever btw. Played 3 lost 3...

To be honest as soon as we got the equaliser you guys just became a totally different team.

Having said that Portugal played really well. I thought Bruno ALves was immense in defense, and boith Nani and Ronaldo played well. We should make the semis.

There's no doubt you were the better team. We completely lost if after the equaliser. I still can't grasp how a group of players with such talent can fail so miserably. Perhaps things would have been different if we had taken some of those chances against Denmark. As it was, the pressure just kept increasing. Then again, they seemed to lose it after about 20 minutes in every game.

Ah well, they may be a bunch of losers, but they're still our losers.

To be honest if they hadn't been in Portugal's group or if Portugal were out, I'd have loved to see Holland win it. Was rooting for them in the last World Cup final too.


Like you say, if you had beaten Denmark (and on another day you would have put 5 past them!) you'd have probably taken some huge momentum into the next matches - I like the look of Ibrahim Ilfeni (sp?) by the way. Looks class!

Yes, he's a great player when in form. He was out with injury for most of the year though.
