There never ever was going to be a way that NTL could flick a switch & upgrade everyone at once, no matter how good the planning. Undeniably, it is a pain for the people still waiting, but short of equipping everyone with an STB with a Samsung, whether they need one, or not, I can't see any other way to do it. (and this would still take time to do) It would have been nice for them to send the anticipated letter to stb users explaining what was happening & get some feedback, sooner than they have, though :) |

Used the online to upgrade my standalone no problems.
Am connected in the Southampton 16 area. |
Re: *ALL* Speed Upgrade Discussion In Here Please (Part 4)
Had to ring CS earlier, very pleased as I got straight through (looks like they've made a change to the CS service, as the last few times I've managed to get through very quickly).
Anyway, I asked to be put on 1MB, but I don't see any difference in my download speed. Is there a good way to check I am on the 1mb service, without calling Tech support or CS again? Confused of Wales |

Re: *ALL* Speed Upgrade Discussion In Here Please (Part 4)
I know this has been posted already, but please could someone give the URL for the speed upgrade thing?
Does it work for set-top boxes? (I already have a Samsung.) |

Thanks, I "really" don't want to seem sceptical, but is that a genuine test? I've tried the one from ADSL Guide and it tells me the speed is closer to 300k, rather than the 1mb. Yet the test above gives "infinity" answers. The CS agent said it would be done within an hour, I've tried rebooting the PC & Modem as well, but the speed doesn't seem any different Hence my confusion Even more confused of Wales now |

Approaching Terminal Confusion, please stand back |
