"In addition to BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2, BT Sport Europe and BT Sport ESPN, Sky viewers will have access to 6 BT Sport Extra streams providing extra coverage of the Champions League, compared to 7 BT Sport Extra streams available via BT TV on YouView."

does that mean another exclusive? be interested to knwo how many Virgin get, if at all
seems less and less likely this will get this for "at no additional cost"

Stump up Sky boys

Be interesting to see subscriber numbers on that! (Pretty low I'd imagine!!)

I'll be very interested to see the effect on BT Sports subscribers across the board now that everyone except BT TV (& possibly VM) have to pay for it.

I reckon BT have shot themselves in the foot with the amount paid for the CL rights as I think they've seriously overestimated its value. I think it was a 'nice to have' with your Sky Sports subs but personally wouldn't pay a penny for it.

Seeing a lot of virgin media adverts about getting sky sports. Worries me they've stopped mentioning bt sport in them...

I'm sure it will arrive but the question is how much more are you prepared to pay for it included in XL ? I'm sure those non sports fans won't want to see more XL subscription money going into football.

Indeed as l am sure there are many who would like to see other channels arrive rather then a new XL pack sports deal.

There are very few subjects that convine people to spend money on TV than sport, VM will easily sell more XL subs with sport offerings than without.

Blimey, just read BT's site properly and it's £19.99 for the first month and then £23.99 from month two if you want it all in HD. Oh and a £15.00 activation fee! :Yikes:

In my opinion they are just as greedy as Sky and sooner rather then later that golden egg is going to crack IMHO.

Completely agree Den, I think they're pricing themselves out of the market.

I understand the non football fans views but the xl package has shot up over the last couple of years. I'm not convinced that bt sport being taken out of xl would

1) give us any savings
2) give us any extra channels

Virgin media seem hell bent on increasing prices with no extra services so I can't see them turning around and saying "bt sport has gone muppetman here's a tenner off your bill every month" "or here's Sky Atlantic instead"

What I can see happening is virgin media being quizzed on what they're doing with the savings on BT and a shrug of their shoulders "don't know what you mean... Costs etc... New fibres wa wa"
