l always though Ebenezer Scrooge had a close relative hiding his real character on this forum as l have had a suspicion for a while that it might be you Mr K.;)

It’s a great time if the year, meeting up with far-flung family, and (most) people are in a happy frame of mind.

Agree - most people are happier around this time, and it just makes everything that little but more pleasant.

I am really looking forward to Christmas this year, although there will be great sadness that two of our dearest friends are not alive to celebrate with us, I am alive.

I have survived one the blackest, hardest 2 years and now been given the gift of life. My aim is once again to grow even older, even more disgracefully and on my own terms.

So Happy Christmas world. I am rebuilding my shoe collection. :D

Thanks Daddy and den and a hug for weenie.

:( I sold off and donated much of my shoes collection when I hit rock bottom physically and emotionally. I sorted out my affairs and did a lot of things to try to make it easier for my family in what I believed would be a hard time for them to deal with considering my failing health and what we all thought would happen in the near future.

Forward 2 years, with the help of the NHS and the miracle of medical science and here I am to-day. Alive and kicking, eyeing up new high heels and giving John cause to grin as he hold on tightly to his debit card. So Happy Thread times are here again.:)

Did our Christmas shop.

Got to the checkout and the over 18 warning came up.

I said to the woman, we ain't bought any booze.

She looked it was the cream for Christmas Pud, which has alcohol in it.

I understand stopping kids getting booze, but I mean this is taking the mick.

A well known supermarket this morning at 7 as the car park was nearly full when we got there , then there were the rude and ignorant customers who seem to have forgotten that being polite and well mannered does not cost anything as a please or thank you seemed to be in very short supply in there.:(:td:

Book a home delivery next year Den, not been near a supermarket at Xmas for years. Book early though the Xmas slots fill up as soon as they become available weeks before.

You still have to get the fresh produce Mr K and we don't like buying that online.
