He was a tad overwhelmed to begin with, stuck close to me as I cleared some leaves from our gravel garden, became a little more confident when he spotted a squirrel, then took off running. Over our fence, over our neighbours fence and out of sight.

We knew we had to let him run free but the two hours he was out of sight were horrible.

Well he is back with us and sleeping off the largest lunch he has so far eaten so I guess we are now his family .... and .... I can't stop smiling. Riley certainly sent us a little smasher to fill the huge gap his dying made in our hearts.

Very touching story Jo, you must have been on tenterhooks waiting for him to get back, but then why wouldn't he return he knows when he is well off! And judging by the photos he's got luxury accommodation to boot! Seriously though Jo I'm really glad that he has finally settled in and wish you many years of happy enjoyment with him. :)

My daughter just brought round my (belated) birthday present - CoD:Black Ops II.

I may be gone for some time.....

I like Alan but I've heard he does his stand up absolutely slaughtered.

Thanks for that, TheDaddy :)

I did start to wonder very early on into the gig and throughout.
During a 'Does anyone [in the audience] have any questions?' session. Someone asked him:
"How many pints did you have in the interval?" His response was:
"None. I haven't had a drink for 3 days."

Later on he doubled up in laughter for a couple or more minutes but no one else there was laughing. :erm: ;)

See - you and John have done such a great job in rehabiltating Ben. And now he's training you :D
Your relief must have so great. No wonder you're smiling :)

Glad he came back and looks so content :)

I suppose it depends what you mean by modern, but I can understand where you're coming from - we went to see Russel Howard in Manchester and left feeling we had wasted a couple of hours of our lives. I've never felt like that after seeing anyone live before and certainly won't be seeing him again  Maybe that comment shouldn't be in the happy thought thread!

Cheers
