Last night saw six channels being added to "Total channels" Media Boy HQ think Virgin Media has launch six new Red Button channels ahead BT's UEFA rights starting next Tuesday.

That's more like it! More of these apps, please, Virgin!

The films are pay per view, of course, but this app extends the choice available to us, and content is what it's all about.

It would be good if VM could add the You View app as well, particularly if you can also get the Now TV content on it. That would provide a solution to the annoyance many of us feel that we cannot access Sky Atlantic and ITV Encore through our Tivos.

Youview isn't an app it's the software BT and Talk use on their STB's.

That is what I expect but a bit of a shame as means if you are keen to have the extra channel, you are still sucked into the XL pack with its premium price funding the sports channels you may not want. Great for sport fans but not if you are not bothered about sports and don't want to pay for them, so not the "ideal" option for me.

Pity L pack cannot have AMC as well but expect the AMC channel if it comes will be linked to BT Sports channels, so that means XL TV only.:(

I wonder if you have the L package or below and subscribe to BT Sports as an add-on, will that also include AMC like it does for Sky customers?

Why on Earth would vm want the youview app for? They are completely different platforms it will never happen.
Also the Youview app only shows the freeview channels and it only allows you to set up recordings and reminders and view the tv guide for freeview.
Nowtv on Youview is only the Sky movies on demand there is no entertainment option or sports.

I think thet meant the new App advertised in the BT ads which allows you to jump back to goals in live games etc. - which will be on Youview boxes.

As said - the Youview app is their own version of the VM TV Anywhere app

I believe that you bought a new Sony TV recently. A Youview app is supposedly being added to certain 2015 models later this year (I'm guessing it's the models using the Android interface?). What functionality it will have, I don't know, but could be worth investigating.
