Really with the way the BBC News behaved over the breaking Cliff Richard story it was more akin to how a red top would behave Richard.

SkyNews has to be impartial by law. Fox News proclaims it is but acts otherwise.

Agreed. Key difference to me is that Sky News will lead on stories even if not 100% sure whilst BBC News will go through a longer verification process. In this way, they nicely complement each other.

A left of centre broadsheet rather than a neutral one, unfortunately.

I had to laugh earlier. Obviously the current story is about Ed Balls forgetting the name of one of the Labour party's biggest supporters. Of course the BBC can't ignore this story because it happened on their newsnight programme when they were trying to provide him with the chance to prove he isn't anti-business, but h fluffed his lines. So earlier they ran a big piece, presumably to provide balance, comparing it to David Cameron forgetting the name of a constituency five years ago!

The sad thing is I'm not even sure they know they're doing it.

Learnt last night that, as far as VM are aware, Sky Bravo is officially dead in the water.

I thought the best quote was when Cameron said in the Commons that "Bill someone was a Labour policy" Great quip.

OK, back on topic.

Never really understood why sky wanted to launch it anyway other than to be vindictive to withhold more channels. They're like itv. They have more channels than content but still seem hell bent on launching more channels

Which I presume was Sky's answer to VM who I believe will have attempted to link carriage of this proposed channel with Sky Atlantic!

Ah well, it was a nice thought.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 1

Just done a survey about Sky considering launching a new channel that is sports based and would be available to Sky tv customers as a basic channel It would show things like soccer am,replays of premier league games and classic matches. They were trying to see if I`d become a sky tv customer if it was launched. It also asked bizarrely whether I`d become a Sky tv customer if the proposed channel was available on Freeview! Anyone else heard about this or done the survey on Toluna?
