If Sky do monopolize the top US shows then sky will lure many virgin customers away.

I find this very worrying. It was speculated that new Sky channels would be offered to VM as part of the Sky deal that VM agreed earlier. Now I hear that Sky are advertising the new channel as 'exclusive to Sky'. Of course, it may be exclusive just for the first week but I have a bad feeling about this. We need the courts to resolve this issue about rights. It's certainly not fair that one rich programme provider can buy up all the decent American programmes on an exclusive basis and then not even offer the channels to other operators. How is that good for the consumer? I'm spitting blood tonight having read this, I can tell you.

Sky isn't advertising it as "Exclusive to Sky"; Digital Spy has misreported it as that. All Sky has said is that it will be exclusive to Pay TV.

How much is it to upgrade to a V HD Box for a L or XL customer?
Looking at these new HD channels, I'm interested.
Thankyou

I have VHD box for HD programming, I have had it since April and it has not missed a beat since I have had it.
I find that it is much quicker than any of the the other boxes including both V+ variants.:)

Thanks for that, nialli, I certainly hope you are right. I can't believe that Virgin Media hadn't covered this eventuality in the agreement they signed with Sky.

We know little more about the channel and its programming than we have read in the press. It is entirely up to Sky as to whether they make the channel available to us and at what price. As always, we will do our very best to continue to offer our customers the best entertainment content available, but as I'm sure you'll appreciate, there are no guarantees. As soon as we have something to announce, rest assured we will.

However, this doesn't exactly fill me with confidence!

maybe you should post what is considered on topic as sometimes it very hard to tell is this on topic or off topic but even if it jsut on topic it then can lead to off topic posts maybe this oculd help reduce it

I bet this is to do with Sky content that will be coming soon, M+ and TV choice would make Sky content available cheaper then subscribing to the channels that they are broadcast on.
