Retentions are also offering it for 150 just check avforums.

And that price is much more sensible in my eyes. Sky's box has also been out longer so they are in the position to cut the price to counter the TiVo launch. Sky+HD 1TB box for £99 with free install would throw the cat amongst the pigeons. :)

Why should you need to threaten to leave to get something for free??

you do with most companies its called retentions , i believe VM have one of these departments as well. Its funny what can be offered at the threat of leaving , of course some people will always just pay whats asked.

Somehow I rather doubt this will be on offer as they will be keeping a sharp eye on such bad practice, and any agent flouting the rules will be asked to explain why, and saying I saved a customer may not be reason enough with this rollout.

I know VM do, I have never had to threaten to leave a company though. I usually get what I want anyway ;)

Why do you say that? A Sky 1TB HD nox is £249 and Tivo has way more functionality. I don't understand your logic.

Plus £10.25pm, your soul and eternal damnation in the pits of hell. :devsmoke:

Re: TiVo

I called Sky for a quote (nothing to do with the TiVo expense, more with the terrible CS I had this last month) and Sky essentially mislead you into believing they are cheaper than Virgin.

I asked for the comparable package to V+HD, XL TV, XL phone, L bb and they came up with £58.50 per month. That's not a lot more than I pay with VM, but it's certainly not cheaper.

Given that I have to lose on demand functionality too, and pay £250 for 1.5TB hard disk (WTF?!?) they are having a laugh.

So to those of you thinking of jumping ship to Sky just because this new product is too expensive... the grass isn't greener as far as I can see. Looks like I'll be staying red (although VM CS are making me SEE RED!)
