Even after de-frosting the freezer cannot hold down the temperature and it was only down to -2C inside this morning even though the compressor is running all the time so something has failed in the refrigeration circuit, probably one of the reed valves in the compressor.

Time for a new one. Just not worth getting somebody to look at it.

Still I've had my money's worth out of it.

Thanks for the link den. They've got a nice little chest freezer about the same size as my one for £140 and they can take the old one away.

I'll have a quick look at a couple of other sites just in case.

I've plumped for a slightly more expensive one with a LED display of temperature and from a well known brand (LEC) @ £169 plus £20 to take the old one away and recycle

Gone for free delivery as there's no rush as I have the backup freezer.

We bought a nice one from them which fits into our smallish galley kitchen perfectly as it gives us that extra freezer space we badly needed.

I do hate it when they change. It took me quite a time to work out what to do especially with ordering repeat prescriptions.

Absolutely as it has been running smoothly for a fair while now and rest assured there will be problems galore with the new system if previous experiences are a guide.

Anyone else having to use subtitles to follow a TV program?
Being tone deaf I find it annoying that on some programs that the dialogue does not go with actual program.
Watch any program from channels 1 - 5 and it can be a laugh, take weather for example!
Rant over.

I am guessing a live broadcast like Weather the subtitles are being created the moment the presenter speaks either via computer or someone manually typing so that maybe the reason?

I use subtitles as my partner has superpowered hearing and likes the volume really low and my hearing isn't perfect so she doesn't like it when i have it louder.

I really need to take the step and look into getting a hearing aid but i am nervous.

I have a matching pair of wireless hearing aids, rubbish as I have to remove to answer house phone, visiting a crowded pub is a nightmare when I have to read the bar person's lips to converse.

I wear hearing aids in both ears. I find when I do go out I only wear the one for the same reason as you say. At least with one I can just about make out the distance and separate the sounds.

Don't get me started on Sky programs broadcast without subtitles!
Turned the TV off countless times rather than just watching any action.

I just bought the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 and the Keyboard case for it.

I opened up word on the tablet to test and the thieving M$ buggers want £5.99 a month to be able to save documents by taking out a Office 365 bundle.

I have office on my PC and NOT forking out a monthly fee.

So I uninstalled as much as the preinstall would allow and disabled all the office stuff I have.

I then downloaded Google Docs.

They should be offering you compensation for the mental torture of having to look at the Office 2016/2019 user interface.
