Virgin only cover about 20% of Scotland and 20% of Wales. There's also noticeable gaps throughout England. If Virgin had complete UK coverage, offering their current TV deals and broadband speeds would there still be such a large majority choosing SKY?

Could i ask where you got that map from.:)

Post of the year hands down :D Good one , all Sky subscribers are spam eating neanderthals. Anyway back to the trough.

I've lost the link!

I do have this one too:

http://www.broadbandanalyst.co.uk/br...ble-broadband/

I assume the dark grey areas are those which Virgin cover, the areas in red are those which Virgin offer broadband in.

The map I posted earlier, and this map are completely independent from one another but do both appear to show the exact same areas or Virgin coverage.

Here's another version of the map:

Perhaps you can set up a televised fight for BoxNation with you or MM as the referee.:D

That would push their subscription numbers through the roof:erm:

Out of interest, does anyone have any viewing or subscription figures for Box Nation? None are on BARB.

Also, in an attempt to get back on topic, does anyone know when UKTV and PBS On Demand will be launching on Virgin?

Hopefully some time early next year as SKY have already done a VOD deal with UKTV.

Roughly speaking, grey is the cable franchise areas, red is what's actually cabled.

Really don't see 3D having much of a future.

Long wait for that

When I broached virgin and sky both said sky 3d will not be on the table for the foreseeable future as sky 3d has sky exclusives only in 3d

Which, presumably, if you have 3D, is the 'elephant in the room'? :)
