Just a general pet hate of mine rather than something specific that has happened to me, but I'm finding the increasing use of the term "Breaking news" winds me up. "Breaking News" used to be used when something important or urgent happened, such as a terrorist incident, or someone dying.

Now it seems to used for pretty much anything, even a celebrity who happened to make a comment about someone. Now, Trump has tweeted that it's breaking news that he'll be at a rally in a few days. A rally that is likely to have been organised weeks, or even months ago.

On the plus side, it is amusing watching Trump attempt to defend his administration against the book.

Found out that I don't just have IBS but I have inflammation of the bowel meaning iBD.

More tests to narrow which one it is. It never ends.

Very sorry to hear that. How long have you had the IBS symptoms? The tests aren't pretty but with the right diagnosis and finding the right meds to suit then hopefully things should improve for you. I've had Crohn's Disease for over 35 years so if you do need any info just let me know. Good luck anyways.

about 10 yes plus but they used to be only a few times a year that I never went to see about it. Only now it's gotten to a weekly basis.

My Gastroenterology special hasn't wrote to me yet but my diabetes doctor saw the test results are back and told me it was positive for inflammation.

Sorry to hear about your potassium level being low as its probably something to do with your condition weenie as from my experience you could have something like hypokalaemia which l have had myself several times over these last 15 years.

l hope you feel better soon as my thoughts are with you.

Sorry to hear you are not well weenie. I had to take very high doses of steroids for nearly 2 years and my potassium levels plummeted. As the steroids couldn't be stopped I ended up having to have regular intravenous infusions to bring my levels up, I was not a happy bunny.

The good thing is that in a lot of cases it can treated and can be sorted with a daily pill to supplement your levels. Fingers crossed and big hugs. xx

That is what I thought Jo as I'm on prednisolone atm so that could be it hopefully it is that.

Den I'm also hoping it could be because of the sickness and diarrhoea and nothing serious.

The good news is I have put on another stone yes I'm now classed as overweight but the doctor is not concerned plus I got a full new wardrobe out of the weight gain as I'm now a size 14/16 and it was wonderful getting clothes from the woman isle rather than the kids isle :) every cloud has a silver lining.

To be honest I'm at a loss as why this time i have managed to put on so much weight it certainly is a weird one as I have done nothing different and I wouldn't say my illness has got that much better all very strange.

I think you are on the right track weenie. The prednisolone can also increase your appetite and increase water retention which may well be responsible for your weight gain. I put on a horrendous amount of weight and over the years I have had to take more steroids a to try to stop my immune system from killing me. Each time the weight goes on and it has been a long battle to keep my weight gains under control.

I think I have had every side effect possible and so I hate steroids under any name, in any shape, form or dosage with every fibre of my being even though I owe my life to the dang drug!

I hate the 40mph's who stick to that speed whatever the limit. I was stuck behind one on a national limit A road - not too bad, nice day not in rush, they could just be enjoying the scenery. But when the limit went to 30 and they carried on at 40...
