I'd suggest the offer is being targeted at non Sky Sports subscribers , give them a ring and mention it you never know.

Yes i beleive it is as its a rolling 12 month contract that is cancellable after the first month.

But its worth trying who knows they may let you have it.:)

Yes i think it is i gave up sky sports on VM when it reached £27 odd ££££s

Now i think its £29 odd pound's which is ridiculous for a bit of sport £ 19 a month however is more like it.:)

It was a 3 year contract for bt sport to be carried on virgin media, I'm unsure if it was a 3 year contract to be in xl, been looking at the old press releases and it's not really conclusive either way

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

I also got the offer of Sky Sports for £19pm for 12 months today.

Prior to that i had the half price Sky Sports for 3 months that ran out last month and i cancelled it.

At almost £30pm Sky Sports is simply overpriced and more than i am willing to pay.£19pm is a fairer price and i am happy to sign up to it.

With Sky losing the Champions League deal from next season it will be interesting to see what it adds to maintain its perceived value to customers or if it considers dropping its price (unlikely of course). I would imagine it could lose some subscribers if it doesnt do anything.

They've already been working on securing new and improved rights deals, over the past 12 months, adding new content to their portfolio of sports.

https://corporate.sky.com/media-cent...-with-mls-deal

"Sky Sports secured 25 new rights agreements in 2014, and that has continued this year with recent deals for international and domestic cricket with the ECB and exclusively live coverage of the Open Championship from 2017, as well as even more Premier League football from 2016."

I can't see SKY dropping their price once the Champions League goes based on this article in the Daily Mirror:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...k-bank-5109653

"Sky boss Jeremy Darroch yesterday suggested it was less reliant on the Premier League than before.

He said: “We like the Premier League. But the whole point of the business is about broadening the offer.”

That means a wider range of sports, including snatching golf’s Open Championships from the BBC, plus more of its own entertainment programmes."

File Sky's comments in the "They would say that, wouldn't they!" folder.
