Football teams interested in good players. Shocker.

Manchester City weren't that bad. I thought people overplayed it because they simply associated Mancini, i.e Italians, with bad football. They weren't the most exciting team in the world but they were reasonable to watch and gave a decent game.

Yet most of these stories amount to nothing. The amount of ITKs on Twitter and forums is absurd now.

again its about finding the right stories etc. remember prior to the Bayern away game all the press jumped on Wenger doing this, that and the other when infact those on twitter got it spot on, just 1 example.

He's quibbling over two million quid apparently, I mean is that vital, he's worth more than his release clause anyway

Doesn't mean there's no fire does, just means it's been doused, press officers, agents, managers, buying clubs and selling clubs staff supply hacks with so much they don't need to be making stuff up and if they got it wrong as much as these ITK's they'd be treated the same way, ignored.

Considering they paid seventeen for him and going by todays over inflated prices for prem tested players I'd say 23 is actually fair thinking about it.

It could be anything but when newspapers don't have to reveal their sources and use language to cover themselves then they can pretty much write anything. A club being 'interested' for example is nothing. I tend to ignore stories that don't have a statement that can be wrong. So saying a club has made an actual bid or is in talks is far more substantial and they can be proven wrong.

I wouldn't be too bothered at £23 million but any more is taking the mick. £23 million would not be a bargin and Everton would have done well.

That said I doubt we actually know the circumstances of any actual deal. I remember M'Vila last year when we were 'haggling over a few million' and 'Spurs are ready to swoop in' and we hadn't even expressed an interest. :erm:
