add a world class striker into Arsenals team and it would have been a different result today. Rooney won it for Utd, deservedly MOTM, even if he wants to snigger post match :upyours:

anyway Arsenal in the last 7 days faced Suarez & Sturridge, Lewandowski & Reus and Rooney & van Persie and yes only conceded 1 goal from a set piece.

Crisis :2up:

Actually to be fair most clubs don't do it. Wenger doesn't get that chant too much at Spurs for example. It's always United. You're right it isn't going to change though. Better to ignore it.

Arsenal don't have the tallest squad, United went for more corners and free kicks as a result. That's called using tactics and I fail to see the problem with winning a game that way.

A team in transition can play any tactics they need to get the job done until they settle on a winning strategy. I make no bones of the fact I'm convinced Moyes is way out of his depth and totally inexperienced at the level he needs to be so until he can steady the ship, set-piece tactics based on the physicality of the opposition is fine as long as they work - and today they did.

Hi Russ :waving: thought you'd done a bbking after the Cardiff match.

Half correct thus far, End of the season but we're almost sure Newcastle have no clause in it at all which is silly.

Clearly, however, he’s a QPR player and we are respectful to them as they will no doubt have their own agenda for Loic when he returns to them.’
From Joe Kinnear.

Evidendly the wisest option would be to trigger that £10 million buyout clause at 12am on the 1st of January in hope of getting it done the same day. The buyout clause in Remy's contract was upped from £8 million to £10 million recently

That's the way we have it as it's a paid loan. I.E a loan fee was paid on top of Newcastle's contribution to wages. It's looking ever clearer he'll be bought in January like HBA was. The possible sale of HBA will contribute to this.

Michael Carrick is facing an extended spell on the sidelines at Manchester United that could rule out the midfielder until Christmas after under*going a procedure to resolve a persistent Achilles injury.

While the club were initially hopeful that the injection could see Carrick recover in time to face Cardiff City in 10 days’ time, senior figures at Old Trafford confirmed last night to the Telegraph that the player would be sidelined for at least a month and potentially as long as six weeks.

Yep its the champions league football that's gone in his favour and fair play to the lad. He would have been Steve Harper/Shay Given if he'd stayed at Newcastle.

I think the Joe Hart situation is overblown. It's like pretending Seaman never made an arse of things. David James was worse than Hart.

Bit harsh, most of our squad have been half way around the world to play two pointless international friendlies and the bitters should have been down to 10 men in the first half.

There's the other issue that they can't and never will be able to afford Lukaku!

Talking of Internationals, that was a great way to forget about them

Arsenal vs Southampton is delayed by 15mins because of disruption on the Piccadilly line

Come on Peter as most PL players have been around the world in the last week so l cannot have that as a excuse and yes it was a clear sending off in the first half.:)

Yes it would be nice to have Lukaku but sadly that ain't going to happen.:(

Not Everton Den, they had a few fresher legs than us and took advantage of just that which was to be expected. Lucas and Suarez only arrived back from South America a couple of days ago and don't think they even trained with the rest of the squad before the game. Gerrard playing two games in the space of a week is pushing it these days and you could tell he was off the pace and fading as the game went on. Allen and Coutinho have only just come back from lengthy injuries.

Not excuses, these are facts.

Newcastle are playing some Hilarious football, passing around with ease, 2-0 up, no trouble at all, allowing Tiote 5 shots from 30 yards out then wasting a corner so he can try and volley it. :D

Norwich haven't got a clue where they are.
