I remember it on BBC 2 lol. Thought that was where it started ?

Disappointingly, a new series of The Americans is due to start on ITV Encore next week, so the first year of repeats on this channel must be coming to an end.

I was hopeful that at the end of the exclusivity period with Sky, Virgin would gain access to this channel. However, I've not heard anything - is anyone aware of indications that this channel will be coming to cable soon?

Just as well I have my Roku, so I won't miss out, but this will be a frustrating time for those with VM only who have followed series one and two on ITV1.

a516: ITV Wales to launch in HD.

a516digital is reporting that ITV is set to launch ITV Cymru Wales HD on Virgin Channel 113 across Wales.

ITV Cymru Wales HD will replace the current version of ITV HD channel in Wales on August 25th.

l was hoping it would be coming soon but alas coming soon for Virgin OB is like how long is a piece of string.

I could never understood why ITV bought it for ITV1; completely the wrong fit, so not surprising that viewing figures were low. ITV Encore is a better fit, and being a pay TV channel, they don't need as big an audience. I still think it would have been a good fit for BBC2, then everyone could continue to see it.

Iniitial rumours said it was exclusive to Sky for 18 months. This would give the earliest launch on other platforms as 8 December but I don't think the 18-month period was never officially confirmed. It launched on Sky on 8 June 2014.

l have a feeling it could be like Sky Atlantic in that we are highly unlikely to get it.

do we have itv wales sd on vm in all areas?? I like how we have the different versions of the bbc on vm.

The SD version of ITV Wales is not available nationally on VM, so I doubt the HD one will be either. Only BBC1 Wales & S4C are available nationally.

My DNR has been lifted, VM will be gettng AMC Global at the end of the month in time for the premier of fear the walking dead only sd was mentioned and as usual you all know by now this is just a rumour until it shows up on the EPG.
