Indeed, I don't see how that comment doesn't apply to the vast majority of pay tv channels. Only the mainstream terrestrial channels (big 5 + E4) ever seem to have anything vaguely new on it. Atlantic is much better than its peers in a fair comparison.

Sounds like sour grapes (yet again) from some. Much like the laughable "WELL I NEVER WANTED BT SPORTS ANYWAY" comments, makes the posters look like petulant children.

Don't discount that they could actually be that :D

What, you mean they repeat the same things over and over again, trying to annoy people? ;)

Very professional. The moderation team on this forum is a joke.

Well I never wanted BT Sport anyway. I didn't, and I still don't. The only reason I'd want it is if too many people jumped ship meaning prices going up.

He's come on here to write a post, much like both me and you do, he is entitled to do that not just moderate all the time!

Whilst you're right, there are also those of us that genuinely don't want Bt Sport. I'll miss ESPN, but they really aren't the same product.

I think a lot of the american products are gone (is that what you mean?).

But can't say, those tend to be the sports i don't watch

Partly - mlb was a big draw for me. But also I really preferred the Saturday 1730 kick offs because I could get back from the match in time to watch it, or fit it in before going on to nights. Albeit Palace have got a season of being moved around ahead of them now, the lunch time kick offs don't work for me as I'm either in bed or travelling to footy - and actually I don't particularly enjoy watching them either. So, even where it's showing the same sport as ESPN used to it's not as good for me.

I don't particularly want it either. Better the ESPN money were put into improving the XL package in other ways.

However those who do, should at least be given the choice.

We obviously don't know what the sticking points in the talks are, but if Virgin are holding out for including in the XL package for a fixed price, then I don't think this is in customers' interests if it ends up denying it altogether.

It would surely be quite straightforward for VM to market BT Sport in effectively the same way as Sky Sports, as a stand alone package and taking a small handling fee for collecting subs and carrying the transmission. VM have admitted they make little or nothing from carrying Sky Sports, they do so as a service to customers and because it boosts the overall attractiveness of the service.

No idea - TCM +1 will be on Channel 417 and Drama is rumour by DS Forum as being on Channel 244.

What's annoying is the people who think they are entitled to it in XL because they had ESPN.

Drama was confirmed as coming by Drama on their facebook page a while ago

DS Forum poster Technix reveal BT Sports Channels numbers - if it launches on Virgin Media.

Quote:

Also if the BT Sport channels ever become available on VM they've been allocated channels 547-550.

I was talking about the Channel number that Virgin are rumoured to have given Drama.

Still feeling we will get BT sport by next weekend, £10 p/m on XL is my wild guess :)

I think that would be a pretty poor outcome for VM (and its customers). I am hopeful of much better.
