Has anybody installed Google Chrome for Windows 8 and if so are there any problems with it once installed.

Here are the latest rumours for Windows 8.1.

Start button has returned with the icon the same as the charms icon.

MS will allow users to swap the start screen with an application list when the button is accessed. (i really hope this is true)

You can use your desktop wallpaper on the start screen.

You will be able to boot directly to the Desktop.

Don't really get the hatred for it anymore, if I want to launch a program I go to start screen, start typing, press enter and I'm back to the desktop.

Looking forward to 50/50 snap for metro though.

I never use the start screen other than when it first pops up, so i am looking forward to boot to desktop and the ability to have the start screen 'apps list' as default when the start button is pressed as i don't want to install any other crap to make it like windows 7.

I expect sales will increase once 8.1 is released.

I am hoping i can install the public beta of 8.1 without it needing a reinstall when it officially comes out.

Having the same background on the start screen as the desktop will help make it seem seamless, also having the apps view too.

Me too, I have everything set up the way I like it, might have to image the disk otherwise

I am glad i got the cheap version of Windows 8 when it was on offer as i was sure it would get better, although i never use the start screen i do want it organised a little better.

Yeah I don't use it on my normal laptop either, would probably use it more if I had one of these new multi gesture touchpads but I don't feel the need to buy a new laptop at the minute
