hi guys,

I just received an email saying the hd package of skysports and sky movies will be added to my account free of charge, wtf? I havnt asked for this.

Does this mean they will start me on a new 12 month contract for something I've not asked for?

Are you a VIP customer with 50meg BB? Then theres nothing to worry about, it's now part of that package.

I was having a flick this morning and noticed the HD channels had been added and I assumed it was perhaps a "free weekend". Then I read my e mail just now and job is a good one. Thanks Virgin.

So I have to call back a fourth time.. I don't mind so much but its the fact I can hardly understand what the person on the other end if the line is saying..

Rather annoyingly I was on VIP and recently got advised to remove some of the phone services (I never use the landline), and manually add 50meg BB + HD subscription - this put me into a new non-vip discount code which leaves me paying 101.99/month with no need to roll into a new 12 month contract.

Does the VIP20 to VIP50 upgrade require a new 12 month contract commitment? If not, am rather annoyed that I was advised of the above only days before a better offer came along!

i notice i havnt recieved it on both my boxes, just the downstairs one.

There is nothing to worry about the Sky Prem HD channels are free when taking the VIP 50 Package.

The Sky Prem HD Channels are only on one box for free

You usually tweet them with what's wrong to @virginmedia and then if they need any details they ask you to email them to twitter@virginmedia.co.uk

50Meg? they cant even provide 20 round here (Epsom)..........I was paying full VIP price for 2 years and only ever had a max of 10meg........after a long battle they reduced the price of my package, and because im no longer a VIP customer (Their Fault), I dont qualify for the "Free Upgrade" to Sky HD channels.......You couldnt make it up.
