Never been to Poole before, used to go to Weymouth quite a bit when the kids were smaller. More recently it's been the Isle of Wight and the Highcliffe/Lymington area.

All our family are going to the Isle of Wight in late July so that is something we are all looking forward too as Mum had a voucher given to her by our kind brother so she used that and some cash to pay for a 4 day holiday over there.

Take the chain ferry over to Studland Bay, that's where I watched Monty Python filming their first series on the beach (Killing joke, Scott of the Sahara, etc).

Further west there is Swanage, Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World.

Blimey, I'd forgotten about Studland Bay - went there many years ago with migh late wife and some friends. We accidentally on purpose wound up on the nudist beach... :D

Anyway I've just bought some rather nice mosaic tile sheets to trim into strips for a border for my new bathroom tiles. Not looking forward to grouting them but it's a fairly small area.

Incidentally, the pots are Morrisons; pots, the ones they sell in packs of 8 for 99p (or free if you have a nice smile like me).

They have no holes, so I drill a 3mmm hole an inch up the side to allow a small reservoir to form.

A Worx 255 electric screwdriver (as my old one gave up the ghost - battery wouldn't charge).

It has a nice touch - the bits are kept in a cylinder inside the body, and to move to the next bit, you just pull the slide back, and it moves to the next bit.

Good thing there was a tutorial on youtube how to get the machine apart because there is a "correct" sequence of removing things like the keyboard plus a lot of hidden screws and clips.

Far better than living in denial and learning nothing from the experience I'd have thought. That'd just be stupid but I guess you just can't educate some folks. Thank the Lord we had something nice to take our minds off all the damage Labour loonies were doing to the economy around then.

I should have went for the brown colour first time around Osem instead of going for a light earth colour but I thought it was a good idea at the time at my age I should have known better. Anyway hubby is happy he wanted electric recliners and I said no I don't fancy them but this time we have went for electric recliners on both the 3 and 2 seater sofa. The darker suite should also go in my living room due to the neutral colours that I have and once I have my new suite I will upload a pic for you to see. Carolina Reapers from Tesco. Supplied by the same guy that brought us the Komodo Dragon. Genovese from Bedford.

They look nothing like Carolina Reapers, smell nothing like them, don't have the sweet taste. and certainly are not the Guinness world's hottest chilli.

I've just let the "inventor" of the Carolina Reaper know about this, he's one of my many Chilli-growing Facebook friends.

Let me see.......
new PC for the front office/reception (existing one is 10 yo!)
new battery for my watch (died with no warning after only 6 months)
new HP printer for home (the 4th in about 10 years!)
new adaptor lead for one of my Iomega Boxee PVRs (a result as I thought it was the HDD failing)
a webcam (which turned up faulty so I have to send it back)

In the good old days the thrushes around here used to control them pretty well but I can't remember when I last saw a thrush sadly.
