Well considering it was easy enough for even me to set up I think it will do me fine. :)

I have a choice of font sizes that lets me read books again, about 50 books downloaded to keep me happy for a few days, had a quick play with the internet connection and have even visited CF so it seems to do everything I hoped. :)

Now if I could just work out how to attach the cover I will have cracked it, ....... well not actually cracked it, I don't want to temp fate. :D

I might have got it wrong, of course. ;)

Have a great time anyway, whatever you get up to.

If you like beaches, try West Wittering.

Well it wasn't the only reason we were goinh but it's good to know :tu:

I guess we just won't do Portsmouth.

My happy thought for the day. Helping out my local church with a bit of audio editing :) At least it's making me feel useful :)

Oh and it looks lke THE job (that I had to give up on) may be on the cards again, another interview next month. Fingers crossed and all that.

The job is in IT supporting people with sight problems. Ill health stopped me doing it before (I was head hunted and everything) - I'm still ill but they seem to think they can work around my issues.

---------- Post added at 11:04 ---------- Previous post was at 10:58 ----------

I should add that I think what swung it was when I met their current person on Wednesday who was doing some IT stuff at my group and was talking tosh which wound me up no end.

I told him that both the kindle and iPad can be used by people with no sight and he told me they couldn't.

I then produced both of them and showed him ;)

This is the crux of a lot of problems with that area if you don't (and he doesn't) have a sight problem and / or don't know what technology is about and how to use it I don't see how he can do the job properly.

Anyway what would I know.....

Well done Dilli, nice to hear!

My Happy Thought is that we had a problem with our VM BB, first for a long time, my brother phoned them late yesterday afternoon and the engineer came about an hour ago, put in a VM 280 Netgear Router Modem, tweaked the signal levels a bit, and left us with a working connection, well done that man :)

I'm so glad you had a good time.

From your posts over the last few months it sounded as though you needed a break and I hoped that your holiday would give you some time to unwind.

I hope you met some nice people whilst you were away, and I'm glad the weather didn't put you off such wonderful scenery and that you are intending to go back. :)

Yes lts lovely at Great Yarmouth as we went up there twice in the last 5 years basically because my dad used to live up there and wanted to visit old friends and there are some places like Cromer and Gorleston which we visited as well when we were up there.

That's one of my old techniques to get a woman naked too.;)

Did you tell her she had to remove her clothes because that's where they laid their eggs?

Did you tell her she had to stand on the bed and bounce to ensure there were no eggs on her body?:o:

Did you explain why she had to do that thing with her mouth to ensure she wouldn't ingest any?

I know I have already mention that I got a Kindle last week but couldn't sort it out as I have been a tad busy. Finally got got it sorted with a load of books ready to read. I remembered some members having mentioned Calibre :tu: so I can now transfer my library over to MOBI and I shall not be running out of books to read any time soon.

Also very happy I got the cover with the built in light, it didn't look to powerful when I first looked at it in daylight but it is great when the light levels are low and I am glad I spent the extra getting it.

I am so pleased your happy with your kindle Jo :)
many many happy hours of reading :tu:

It's been nice having natalies brother over for a few days :)

And he can actually play black ops so he's ranking me up ;)

It's just a shame that when he got off the 'plane at heathrow he started getting some abuse from the natives.

I can't repost it as it was a PM - it wasn't rude or anything just odd... It's from one of our newer members (he only has 5 posts) not spam or owt.

Probably typical Saturday Night entertainment for Mr LM..

Hang around the bushes in some dimly lit park, wearing nothing but a dirty mac and a little bit of string attaching his finger to his Ahem Ahem Ahem.

He waits for a pretty young lady to walk past, leaps out, throws the coat open and puts on a puppet show.

Anyhow, my good news is simple. I got a letter from the building society who gave me a mortgage to say that said mortgage is now paid. God, I feel free, and my house is actually mine now.

Probably going to celebrate by going out on Friday and getting absolutely paraletic..

A cat knows who feeds her and will always cultivate a servant's dedication to her tummy. :D

Yes animals are very intelligent and certainly know when it is time to eat and when we do our cooking our animals always follow us to the kitchen and then follow us back to the dining room.:drool::drool:
