Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8

My wife receives a long list of repeat medication every 28 days.

Last month she received double of one item.

I queried this and was told by the receptionist that some meds can now be issued every 56 days, so she should now only request them every 56 days.

I told her that was pointless unless ALL her meds were issued very 56 days.

"It's the new system" she replied.

You can't beat stupid out of people, so I left....

l used to have all my meds issued every 56 days but the trouble is some of my meds are only issued for 28 days at a time so the next time l saw my GP we had discussions and we both felt all my meds should be issued on a 28 day basis instead of 56 days.

Idiots who cannot see a petrol tanker and close the M11 in both directions.

IMHO they need banning and having their licence and insurance declared invalid.

Knowing the idoits on the motorway they will be in a BMW and on the phone.

Then there are the poxy cops who allow traffic down the slip road to a blocked motorway rather that have a car there blocking ot off.

Luckily I had a warning when I got in the works car park. Even the my alternate route was a nightmare.

Well got my PIP letter today.

Scoring 6pts so it's a no.

Will be calling to appeal and also ask for the copy of the assessment.

Strange how they score a lot of people just under the number needed for a claim.

Send a recorded delivery letter requesting reconsideration with your main points, which they'll say no again to, but just a process to go through before you wipe the floor with them at a Tribunal. Then swamp then with all your medical records which you can request from hospital for a small fee. A letter from your GP too. They hope you won't bother which is all the more reason to. The amount they spend on these appeals is more than if they just paid out in the first place. Good luck, but you probably won't need it.

Yes never give in as that is what they want people to do as somebody like the CAB are very helpful in giving advice to claimants.

Yeah the letter states that although I informed them I need help making meal and getting dressed and everything that he decided I can do it all myself although I need held making a meal for one and reading text. As well as aids or help in the shower but getting ready I can do.

Apparently I was able to walk unaided yet they noted I was unsteady on my feet at least twice at the assessment but can walk 200 mtrs unaided. This was even though I had someone from deaf blind Scotland escorting me!!

They really are a bunch of morons.

Utterly disgusting Stephen, just try and get a letter of support that can be either from your Gp, some GPs charge a small fee and some just don't entertain giving you one or you could get someone from deaf blind Scotland to write you one just try and get whoever writes you this letter to use the buzzwords that PIP/DWP look for:

Given the presenting evidence, it is medically reasonable. for Mr ...... to need the use of these aids in his daily life.

Mr ...... needs help with (list the help you need) which is understandable given both Mr ........ medical and physical condition/needs.

I fully support Mr......., in the appeal of his Personal Independence Payment claim given all the supporting medical evidence

It is my understanding that the use of these words is classed as buzzwords.

If you get on really well with your GP you could print off a letter and say that you were advised that this is the sort of thing that PIP is looking for then it would be up to your GP if he or she decides to use these buzzwords but being a professional I really don't see why they would not use this wording.

I wish you all the best in your appeal.

The Deaf Blind Scotland guy that has helped me is going to send the appeal in. He was totally surprised given the details on the form and he felt the assessment went well.

Thanks, I am hopeful it will go well as its only 2 points needed to get the standard level.

The person that made the decision clearly ignored all the info provided on my form and also from the assessment,

It goes with the job description for these non-medical 'professionals' I'm afraid. Sounds like you have a strong case, chin up when they eventually pay out it'll be back dated, so a nice lump sum.
