Re: *ALL* ntl 10MB Discussion (Part 3)
I was walking through town today with a friend and he asked a woman selling ntl if she knew anything about the speed upgrades. She said this:
There are 3 new speeds coming out to replace the old ones, 1Mbps will become 6Mbps, 2Mbps will become 8Mbps and 3Mbps will become 10Mbps. 2Mbps customers should see an upgrade by the end of March next year. Is she right or just fobbing me off? 8Mbps would be brilliant for me. (Im on 2Mbps at the moment) |

Hmm, ok. She did sound convincing though. But 10Mbps for all is even better iin some cases and worse in others...

Ive rebooted after that hour has gone (also did my router too) and no luck, still at 3mb... This is how my modem log is looking... 051117185253 8-Debug M571.6 CM Cert Upgrade Enabled. Re: *ALL* ntl 10MB Discussion (Part 3)
There are some horrid support on NTL phones, just spent 40minutes on phone to them to try and get the trial.
1. Standard customer support, awesome guy tried his hardest to get me upgraded to 10mb trial but said he did not have the tools to do so and put me through to technical. 2. Technical, useless git who sounded like he did not want to help or be there, said he cannot do upgrades from technical and put me through to standard support again. 3. Standard again, another idiot, asked if I had a blue box, said no have a surfboard 3100, he told me he cannot upgrade me and to call to cancel my account and state that I wanted 10mb, they should then upgrade me rather than lose me as a customer but can only ring them between 9-5. LOL @ NTL support telling me to cancel my account to get what I want, very sad. |
