A dumb police man that says your paper licence is invalid because you're supposed to have a photo licence now.
but he refuses to give you anything official to say that your licence is 'illegal'
because he knows he's a TWIT. and doesn't want to admit he's a TWIT.

stupid TWIT!

A neighbour has 3 big diesel trucks parked on the pavement, 1 large van on the drive, 2 cars he's repairing filling the lawn... and he goes out from time to time and runs their engines for several minutes at a time at all hours of the day from dawn to midnight.

Rattling diesel engines, sooty exhaust smoke, dripping oil... and the council have refused to come have a look even though it's all illegal according to their handbook for tenants.

Who else forgot that the clocks had gone back when they woke up this morning?

Although I knew the clocks went back I forgot to adjust our bed-side clock, looked at it this morning & got up to take the dog out and didn't remember until I checked why the heating wasn't on!

Just you. Changed all the clocks yesterday afternoon, central heating, mobile and laptop all updated on their own with no input from me. But I always find I take longer to adjust to the clocks going back.

I hadn't forgotten but your post just reminded me to changed the central heating clock! :)

My programmable thermostat automatically adjusts for the "Daylight Saving" changes that's why my heating hadn't come on when I inadvertently got up early. I blame not resetting my bed-side clock on a "senior moment", problem is they are becoming more frequent! :(

HHHmmm

Not getting any better. I didn't get to the hospital in the end as I've had some other stuff going on which is stressing me out a lot.

:erm: I hope you can get there soon, or at least phone the clinic for advise. The extra stress won't be helping your levels. :(

Why are the connection blocks inside new light fittings so small?

how are you expected to put thick black/red wires into them?

they supply them with the hole sizes just about big enough to put one piece of wire in. not at all big enough for the thickness of the copper that lights will be.

NOT TRUE - the old paper driving licence is still valid until it expires (usually at age 70) or you change your name or address. This old wives' tale arose from an inaccurate news report talking about the need to renew photo driving licences which had been obtained more than 10 years ago and the phasing out of the paper part of the new driving licence. The reporter confused it with the old style licence.

Have a look at https://www.gov.uk/exchange-paper-driving-licence and http://www.theaa.com/public_affairs/...e-renewal.html
