That's fantastic to hear. Fond memories of seeing this fly into Hawarden in the late 70s/early 80s when I was in primary school. Tha aircraft it's based on is an awesome piece of engineering on it's own.

If that was RyanAir, I bet the passengers would have been charged extra for the "Rollercoster" landing experience. That'll be £10 please, thank-you. Next - £10 please, thank-you...next...£10 please, thank-you....etc

That's good piloting skills to nail it and get it back in the air....no doubt they train for hours to do that to make it look easy.

You've only seen strong winds when you see a 747 flighing almost sideways on final approach.

I've been in a 747 approaching Schiphol sideways :D you know that when you can see the left side of the runway from a right hand seat window!!!

A Boeing 707 E3 Sentry doing Touch and Go's at RAF Brize Norton yesterday lunch time for around 2 hours.

Just had 4 helicopters (single followed by two more about 500 meters behind and then followed by another one again about 500 meters behind) go overhead.. Must be going to Helitech at Duxford..

Through the bins one had an orange rear engine cover on it.. So quite identifiable
