well Lee Bowyer has been caught doing this before and nothing much happened to him.

lets wait until the full facts come out, it could just be a case of the other people being involved and he was jus at the scene

I think the biggest problem, that we fans have, is bad officals at games, we saw it with Steve Bennett, then we had Clattenburg, and with Steve Tanner, one of the worst decisions that l have seen in football, to officiate, they have to provide better officals, then some of the crap we have now.

There has to be consistance on each game from them, and you don't get it, and it no good, Premier League, saying that they are all top refs, but they are not, all the good ones are gone now, we even have Graham Poll working for Setanta, giving decisions, that how bad they are.

If players didn't dive, foul, or try to cheat by any device possible then that would cure a far bigger problem than referees mistakes. Refs are only human.

I think that video replays should be used for all contentious decisions.

Jim.

Man Utd seal deal for Serbian duo

Manchester United have completed the signings of Serbian pair Zoran Tosic and Adem Ljajic from Partizan Belgrade
It was only last week Fergie was reported as saying there will be no signings in this transfer window. Smoke and mirrors from the master, yet again. ;)

This has been in the pipeline for a while now, though.

I heard he was lining up a move for Zoran Tosic, but hadn't heard about the other lad, Ljajic. But with Fergie recently saying they had no plans for any additions to the squad, thought he'd kicked the idea into touch. Or maybe he doesn't want City to outbid us again *cough Berbatov cough* :D

Re: Football : Season 08/09

I read about this deal the other month. It was already lined up for both players and hopefully if this Tosic lad is any good we will finally have a decent left winger this season

The real question is, will he now feel the need to fork out £32 million for Tevez.;)

The word on the terraces is the reason Liverpool FC are giving their 100% backing to Gerrard for punching that DJ is because what scouser would want to listen to "Working 9 til 5"?

Although, l am not a Liverpool fan, l am an admirer of Liverpool, but in my view, l don't think Gerrard should be playing, from the state of what he looks like, there could be some truth in what happened, but there again, Gerrard is a true ambassador of Liverpool, and should have kept too himself, and another thing, what was he doing out at that time in the morning.:)

---------- Post added at 21:06 ---------- Previous post was at 21:03 ----------

The Forest result, is the best result l have ever heard of, it goes to prove FA Cup magic is there, and also money can't buy you everything. Go on Forest.:)

And who says footballers are thick

Shola Ameobi has scored an own goal after telling police his home had been burgled, then realising it was just a tip.

But Ameobi soon realised his £500,000 pad in Jesmond, a leafy suburb of Newcastle, had not be targeted at all - it was just a complete mess.
