This is normally stuff like router software upgrades - I doubt it is the speed changes. (but you can always hope ;))

the maintenance has happened, still 1mbit.

don't know what they did but it caused my ip address to be changed.

Thats because leic wasnt involved in the main upgrade yesterday , my mate from northants tested his download and got 150k/s earliar, but isnt online atm so cant ask him to do a proper test :(

I *think* it was a dhcp server upgrade, which would explain the IP change. I know it's hot today, but the calendar is scarcely late summer, so don't get your hopes up just yet.

Um, BST (British Summer Time) starts in march, officially the start of summer, putting us in mid summer as we speak *turns off official mode

Its only a config file update 3 months (including time already waiting) is an aweful long time to achieve such a simple change.

Speed increase can be anytime until october, when bst officially ends.

Wrong.

British Summer Time has nothing to do with Summer.

Spring is March 21st to June 20th. Summer begins on June 21st.
