Is the colour sprayed on dilli or is it a bandage type affair because if so couldn't you have a barbers pole effect?

It is like a bandage but when it sets it's like araldite.

They do mix colours but only on special occasions (like christmas) - and they ahve said they will do something special for the wedding.

Beware of the nursing profession offering to "do something special" for the groom. Be afraid, very afraid. :D

Well yesterday did not start off very well because we got a parking ticket but come dinnertime we had a lovely meal at a restaurant and then our parents stubbornly insisted that they would pay for the parking ticket so not a bad day all in all.

She's done fantastic, it's not exactly a mild health walk, it's blimmin steep whichever way you go! even Jacob's Ladder.

Black Combe (Millom) up near Barrow is a cracker if you've got time to venture that way, amazing views across the Lakes and the Irish Sea. We did that one yesterday as backup plan as we originally intended to head over the border and do Cairnsmore of Fleet but swerved it because of the weather.

Well Madgamer did say previously, I think, that he was heading for higher things but I wasn't sure if he could maybe skip some steps on his planned self improvement route. :) Not sure if that is allowed.

Excellent weather forecast for the weekend.. all systems go for our annual tab up to Cross Fell. No GPS required this time fortunately.

Hopefully you'll get great views over to the lakes!

Mountain forecast gives hazy sunshine so the distant visibility won't be that great. Got caught in clag and rain last time we went up which is not the best situation to be in up there. Supposed to be quite windy though tomorrow so the character of the place will definitely come alive :D

Never been in a Union in 37 years of employment - although I respect the rights of others to do so.

I'm going away to Selsea for a week as a treat from a member of the family for my honeymoon. Which is nice as we were not expecting to be able to get away :)

On my list is to go see the Mary Rose - Natalie wants to visi the isle of Wight

Thinking of going a Caledonian tour to the Isle of Wight. Have any of you been there?

Did you enjoy it there? It is a long drive from Glasgow to Southhampton. But it will be a change.

Dilli: Don't want to rain on your parade, but I believe the museum for the Mary Rose itself is being rebuilt and isn't open to the public at the moment. Might be worth checking if that's all you want to see. Have a look at http://www.maryrose.org/new_museum/index.html

I might have got it wrong, of course. ;)

Have a great time anyway, whatever you get up to.

If you like beaches, try West Wittering.

Just had the full Turkish shave experience, now sat overlooking Kyrenia Harbour having lunch and Efes (local beer, very nice), with free wifi - result.....

Temp approx. 42C, so staying in the shade, due to my naturally blue complexion. :D

Assiduously avoiding dehydration (cf Efes above ;))
