Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
So called 'charity' workers who blockade the High St., insisting you sign up to a Direct Debit! If they believed in their charities they wouldn't take commission for everyone they sign up, and would be doing it for free ! Where does their commission come from ? Your direct debit... Not to mention the absurd amount of charity bags that come through the door , only a minute fraction of proceeds go to charity. Give any clothes direct to a shop.
Charities really need to sort their act out, they are vital and do worthwhile things, but the public are going to turn their backs if they're not careful. Grumpy old man rant over.... |

At least you can see them and keep a distance. It's the ones that the supermarkets allow to camp out in their entrances so you have to run the gauntlet. Next time it happens I'm going to send a complaint into their HQ.

Going to be so quiet for the next 3 months, my sister flew to France today to start her new job. It's got potential to extend to a 6 month contract. Will miss her a lot.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
I think my neighbour has totally lost the plot as today she was caught looking in our bins after they were emptied and no she could not have thought they were her bins as they were at the bottom of my driveway.
What a weird woman she is, I just wish she would stop being so focused on my household. She has done this in the past and I'm at a total loss of her interest in our bins as it totally beats me, I mean why look in someones bins I just cannot work out her reason in doing this. |

Products that are 3 times the price over the US
For example the 1/35 800mm Gun “Dora” on Amazon US is $250 (roughly £180), the UK it's an eye watering £600. Yes it does weigh 25KG, and over 1 metre long. |

Trying to get a non urgent appointment with my doctor..impossible. Now I'm being urged to use the emergency triage system..for something that is not an immediate emergency.Problem is my doctor is the only female in the practice..and of course that's why I want to see her. it's no wonder A&E are overwhelmed.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Yes I have experienced that when trying to get a appointment for a something that is not urgent and to makes things even more frustrating when you phone no matter what time, even when it's the time the receptionist has suggested example 8am or 1pm only to be told the first available appointment is 3-4 weeks down the line which usually is no good at all or worse sorry there is no appointments. What I also find is trying to get a appointed with your preferred GP is near impossible.
Saying that when I'm needed to be seen in regards to my illness I can't complain at all as they always see me when needed but a non urgent appointment forget it. |
Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Noticed ours and a neighbours car was scratched across two doors as we were going out yesterday, then at three o clock when the schools were coming out a neighbour caught a school boy doing the same at the other side of the cars, Lucky enough we found out where he lived and we went to there door, He was a coloured boy but the foster parents were white, of course he said " it wasn't me, " and when we said he was seen doing it, he made all excuses , it was an accident etc, His foster mother was almost in tears , and admitted she had problems with him. The outcome is her husband came to see the cars when he came home from work and he is getting quotes today and he will pay the bill. He was so very sorry and could not apologise enough, Thank the Lord he was caught the second time,

Is it peer pressure to fit in, a cry for help, frustration and the feeling of not belonging, what has he seen in his short life, what horrors has he witnessed either in family life or the current care system he now finds himself in etc my list is endless. I can think of nothing worse than a child in the system when the majority of his peers more than likely come from a loving home. I can't imagine the uncertainly this poor child feels or what he has gone through in his short life, I assume it would be hard enough for a adult to imagine wondering where they may be living this time next year never mind a child. I'm not making excuses for him but I hope and pray whatever social/case worker is assigned to him gets him the counselling and help he so obviously needs before he becomes another statistic within the prison, I really hope the relevant people assigned to this boy seeks this help and hopefully with a understanding ear he will turn out alright. The foster parent will more than likely not be out of pocket as they will likely put in a claim for the damage this boy did to the cars and to that they would need to inform his social/care worker I would assume. |
