In the case of Spock - yes, there was (I believe) some fan unrest, although his return was [apparently] mainly down to Nimoy himself wanting to return.
Picard, well I guess he was technically revived, but since it was all within one episode, there was clearly no fan unrest (I believe a few were unhappy he became a droid).

He's what?!

SPOILERS. :(

I have no problem with that as a concept, but I didn't expect to read ST:P storylines on this thread.

Have you not seen the end of the previous season?

The show dropped 2 years ago. Plot line discussion is hardly spoiling at this point.

Season 1 came out two years ago (today), if you were that interested you should have seen it long ago.

I don't begrudge it being discussed, it just caught me off guard. I'm usually pretty good at avoiding storylines I don't want to know about.

I was never going to see it on Amazon, I try to avoid giving them money. And they don't make the show, so I thought I'd see it sometime else.

Decided to finish catching up on all things Star Trek. So catching up on S4 of Discovery.

Up to Ep 4 and It’s pretty dire. Still I’ll persevere and then finish Strange New Worlds.

I’m a completist! What can I say.

Pretty much the only reason I’m sticking with it.

Season 4 does get better by the midpoint, but at times it’s worse than the worst touchy-feely B plot of a Next Generation filler episode. Sort of like a tape loop of Deanna Troi asking people how they feel about that, while Data looks quizzically at Geordi trying and failing to pull in Ten Forward.

Discovery just got boring, almost disappearing up its own woke backside.

I think you'll like Strange New Worlds, so much better.

Clip from Season 5, due in April 2024

Lets hope this final season is an improvement.

I’m a bit over done with Star Trek.

Brave New Worlds is OK,

But Picard S3 with all the Next Generation cast, just showed you how good Star Trek was and could be.

Discovery and BNW just are not up to that standard.

Instead of Discovery Or BNW, I’d rather see the adventures of the ship and crew alluded to at the end of Picard 3 in the Next Gen universe.

Strange New Worlds you mean ;)

I'm a big fan of SNW and Lower Decks. Picard S3 was fantastic. I'll watch Discovery's last s3ason but it's not the best by a long way.

Sadly, there is no sign of that happening atm. The first season of SNW was good, the second season not so much, some really poor/dull episodes, and that awful musical nonsense, it didnt really shine until the final episode.
