My thoughts go out to the families of the people who died in the recent Red Arrows and the 737 incident in Canada.

Indeed. The best bit was, we won the tickets in a free raffle. Everyone else on board had paid well over £100 for a seat. :D

Nice. Over to Oban or just a quick jaunt round the loch?

Across to Tighnabruiach, down to Rothesay then back up over Greenock. And back to earth an hour before an almighty thunderstorm kicked off...

I suppose they needed somewhere to empty the in-flight toilets :D ;)

Very nice, lucky you got down before the thunder. It was a bit spectacular  :shocking:

I have just heard that his face is healing well, although it is 'a bit pink' as his mum says :)

I have just been told that he is moving out of intensive care tomorrow :)

It has been posted before along with http://www.radarvirtuel.com/

Flightradar is the most upto date one but comparing it against the realtime mode-S and mode A/C tracking it is still a bit lagged.

I use planeplotters with a small MicroADSB receiver. This also allows me to plot military and small civil aircraft and the MLAT capability of planeplotters will even plot positionless aircraft based on receive times from all the sharing stations.

Well it certainly did alright by us :tu:

There were 10 on board including the pilot, and there was luggage space at the back as well (not being used when we were on board, but the company does run scheduled flights from the centre of Glasgow, using the Clyde as a runway, to Oban and the western isles).

For those of you who are interested in the Super Guppy, a restoaration of the one at Bruntingthorpe is underway.
It will never fly again but will be in better condition than it currently is.
