Waits with bated breath for Arthur to condemn Bales blatant cheating, if he was fouled, which he was not then why wasn't the keeper booked or even sent off.

Re: Football Season 2011/12

I don't dispute his talent...but I would say same for anyone who dives without any contact. if I had my way..i would use video evidence, and ban him for 5 games...that would stop diving

Damien 26-02-2012 14:15

Re: Football Season 2011/12

Players dive and people have a go at the ref for giving it. I don't understand why on earth the ref didn't give a card, he should have if he thought it was a penalty but whatever happened he needs help from the players. Everyone probably thought that was a pen at first glance.

YESSS!! 2 - 2!

Re: Football Season 2011/12

And Arsenal must get RVP to sign a new contract as how many times has this great forward done it for Arsenal when they have needed it most.

Damien 26-02-2012 14:24

Re: Football Season 2011/12

Still not confident of getting points here. We'll see. Walcott has wasted too many chances today, crosses landing no where, Chamberlain will be up for this.

Anyway like I said. People can have a go at Dean all he likes. Bale knew what he was doing and did it well. How on earth can the ref spot that?

Re: Football Season 2011/12

posting from my phone excuse the mistakes.

today proved the tactic saidx to aid our players actually suffocates them.

some form of 4-4-2 was played and it bloody worked how i thought it would. it worked in the past too even if we narrowly lost against city. ive argued this on arsenal land no1 listens!!

rosicky shut me up today.. with freedom and vibe from others waking up we see the squad unite and show their talent albeit even if its a little. theo, i said he was being mismanaged and ive been proven right. 4-3-3 the formation suppose to aid thesr players doesnt actually work! anyway weve all seen it.

arteta sat.. he can improve. song annoyed me going wondering.. i know arsene promotes talent but he needs to master his trade before wondering elsewhere.. we'll be a lot more solid but i think thats formation. a 4-4-2 means more work which will cure a lot of our issues, i believe thats the case have done for a while.

sagna done well. tommy and kosh need to put their heads together in time that will improve.

van persie.. need i say more!

whats incredibily important is we continue on this full on. we cant play 4-4-2 every game, some require change but that doesnt mean throwing 4-4-2 out.. anything but that.

right im tired. have it! :2up:

I was at my mum's yesterday afternoon (got invited as my stepdad has buggered off on a skiing holiday)and we had the Arsenal game on. Me, my mum and brother all cheering on Arsenal, and my sister sits there cheering Spurs on!

Well, let's just say that she can dish out the insults when Spurs are winning, but when losing she lost her temper and started screeching and hitting me and my brother! We had the last laugh though, up the Gooners!!

Those financial results are good as well, and I think that many people fail to realise that clubs need to keep money in reserve to pay salaries, taxes, all those sort of things which does have an effect on transfer money for Wenger to spend.

The results are similar, they were expected. AST were wrong about the context around those figures (i.e missing FFP etc).

Hmm, my feeling was that there wasn't enough urgency in the Dutch game, they were just waiting for the chances, which came sure enough. The first half was dire, and things only sprung into life after Holland scored. First England goal was off-side, and by that time Sneijder and Huntelaar there had been a rut of substitutions which swung the game in England's favour. I wouldn't quite say Holland were outplayed, though Holland definitely weren't on top of their game.

Yeah. I saw joking.

That said I don't think he is the right manager for England. I thought that before the game and continue to do so, and would have done so regardless of the result. Friendlies mean nothing as far as I am concerned and are not great barometers of future success. Spain, won today, lose a lot of friendlies and yet are the World and European Champions....

I honestly don't think anyone here will disagree with you on Stuart Pearce. I want Mourinho and that's as far as that goes.

Not too fussed at all about Redknapp but if by some miracle Mourinho becomes the next England manager I doubt anyone would be displeased.

Damien 29-02-2012 22:29

Re: Football Season 2011/12

Redknapp is good because the players seem to like him, he seems to be able to motivate them. That's really what you want in a England manager, someone who can unite the players they are given for a short period of time and get to them to play like a team. The rest of it is really out of their hands. Even advanced tactical plans are difficult to implement because they require time and a settled team.

Disagree. Proven manager at club and international level, English, vastly experienced. He has done a good job at almost every job he has had - Switzerland were a top 10 side under his management, Fulham reached the Europa League final.

There was only Liverpool, but I still find that questionable, given time for his changes to settle down he would have made them into a top team.

Redknapp is clearly a class act as a manager but other than making West Ham and Pompey punch above their weight for a few years and a couple of good seasons at Spurs really does not have any experience at managing a top club or at international level, which is completely different to club level.

having spent days listening and debating whether Mike Dean is a Spurs fan.. I personally dont think he is but a lot of people do. I think his mind frames purely on the game and with that has come a cringe worthy with poor defending.. scruffy goal if that makes sense

Before the game Arsenal won none of the last 11 games Mike Dean officiated while Spurs won 13 out of 15.

Bale diving getting a peno while Gibbs isn't awarded a pen up the other end.

Im a Spurs fan, All week I have been abused by other fans, oh look it 5-2 :)

I got my own back by saying it at every opportunity, and it killed their thunder, the Arsnal fan is ready to kill the person who says it next.

Colo and Krul sign new deals at Newcastle, Colo looks to be at Newcastle as long as he's getting played and with Krul it means he wont go anywhere anytime soon unless its for good money.

Naturally I believe Krul would have received a substantial wage rise. Now we just await Demba Ba to recontract with a monstrous rise.
