My happy thought and feeling today is......................
I had a little chat with the other chap who was on my fork lift course this week before work this morning, and he started his extra training, I told him to relax and let thing's flow and not pause so much, and also gave him a couple of tip's, and he passed his practical test to with 33 penalty point's.
and the chap who'd been our instrutor came and said to me when he is in his office next week he will talk to his boss about the possibility of getting me trained as an instructor :D

Congrats Tosh Mate and all the best for you:D:D:D:D:D

My happy thought is that my new child is 6 weeks old on Monday and we have not heard anything from the Hospital due to the thick blood he had when he was born with? He was on a drip 3 days after been born and in Hospital for a week and then had to go back for the blood test.
I hope that this is it and touch wood :)

Would they normally give you an appointment to come back or were you told to wait for a call back?

He had to go back in for a blood test and they said that they would phone if there were any problems. But we have not had a call back yet so touch wood:)

I would say everything is fine then as you had no call back but if you were still worried by Monday then give them a call just to put your mind at rest.

Just had a good night out watching the Brit Floyd at the York Barbican - they were very good, and played a three hour set (with a 15 minute break).

Hate cover bands... but I'm sure I could have done with a bit/lot of that. :)

Happy thought - had to do a fairly rushed troll round a place I'd never been to, apart from compulsory Easter Monday walking to the beacon - the Brecon area - the Elan Valley and all her dams - and the bikers.

Anyhow, why daughter decided that her home town, was a better place than Aberystwyth to do her degree, was a good choice is beyond me!

That was my initial thoughts, we only went because we were invited by the future out-laws; the experience (in this particular case) changed my mind - the musicianship was outstanding (especially the three guitarists), and hearing the music in a small/medium sized venue, rather than being half a mile away at a stadium, made it worthwhile.

If you are a Floyd fan, I would strongly recommend it.

Good luck with your daughter

The Mrs and Osem Jnr #1 flew out to Slovakia very early this morning and I've just heard from them to say that, after a few enjoyable hours sightseeing in Bratislava, they've finally arrived safely at her home town. It's Osem Jnr # 1's first trip overseas and the wife hasn't been back for over 4years so whilst I wish I could have been there with them I'm hoping they're going to have a really lovely time and rebuild some of her broken family links in the next 10 days.

Due to the fact that we can't take him abroad, myself and Osem Jnr #2 will be mainly at home trying to have a damned good time of our own* and trying not to worry too muich about them.

(the good news is he can't incriminate me when they return.... :D )

Just got back from a weekend on the south coast celebrating one of my step-sister's 50th Birthday.

Weather was Mediterranean, B&B was amazing. Owners had two 1950s Porsche 356s, one coupe one cabriolet, & a 1960s E-Type convertible.

Party was at the Marine Bar Milford on Sea, stunning views over the Solent to the Needles...

About 4 years, although it's been suprisingly easy to quit; I'm constantly eating food but aslong as it's low calories, high protein then it's benefiting me. I didn't want to quit smoking if i'm honest, but i felt i need to if i want to commit to working out. So that's pretty much it, for the next 90 days on the P90X workout i need to train like a mad man, depending on the results i may post before/after pictures -- Although currently my body is pretty depressing, it could be mistaken for a 12yr olds. :dozey:

I didn't wear one in the end as I noticed it was an informal Wedding and didn't want to be OTT. It's important not to outshine the Bride. :)

For the benefit of other friends of the Groom I have to say that his Bride looked lovely and they make a smashing couple.

Now that brought a smile to my face. I guess you being "happy" is somewhat of an understatement. :)

Thank you for all the wishes.

Tired, but the wedding weekend continues with a walk in the Peak District tomorrow with a dozen or so friends/family who were at the ceremony. Then brunch at The Alchemist on Sunday and off to Bruges by Eurostar on Monday for the honeymoon. :)

Which one are you doing Cobby? not the Scout by any chance, or just a gentle stroll?

It was a lovely and intimate ceremony.
Shouldn't you be busy right now
I hope the entourage will be leaving you both alone to enjoy time together. :)

Lovely, that's one of my favourite walks that but it gets a wee bit busy when the weather's good. Last time we went via Harry Hut and Mill Hill and the crashed bomber. Bit steep up the actual massif but it's a good-un if you're on limited time. Lovely weather for it today though.
