In the 28th April issue of New Scientist, there's a Tom Gauld cartoon.

The space probe begins its journey to the furthest reaches of the Universe.

The scientist is particularly proud of the poem that lies within: a paean to the magic of Earth, Life and the Cosmos, commissioned from a great poet and placed within the craft by the scientist herself in the hope that it might, one day, be read by another life form.

The dry cleaner says that he is moved by the beautiful words, but would prefer the receipt for the scientist's clothes.

No, I am not a vegan (or vegetarian), I just use meat substitutes so I can feel like I am eating meat while cutting down on the actual amount of meat I am eating.

Not worth sending a photo of a Tea Towel I have just received in the post from an old friend in Ireland, but it made me laugh and I think laughing is good so hope this at least makes you smile.

I know this is a clichéd joke so I hope I don't cause any offence it was sent to me by an Irish lady who is fiercely proud of her country but also has an impish sense of humour.

Iirc American ones don't sink in the road and get a little wash from rain water when cars go over them, the guy who invented them was saved crashing due to the reflection off of a cats eyes, it's why he called them that rather than retroreflective road stud again iirc

I'm not sure about the saved from crashing bit, but they were named after the way real cats eyes reflect light, and built & sold using the Catseye trademark.

I would us Chrome to download something far better, for me that is Vivaldi but others go for Firefox or Edge.

Unless (as is entirely possible) I've lost what we laughingly call my mind, it seems Panthera tigris isn't that different from a domestic moggy.

To explain:

I was doing a jigsaw on my tablet, and the picture looked like the attachment.

Now there are two explanations. The first, by Occam's (dulling) Razor, is that I have, as I've long expected, gone doolally and I'm seeing things.

The other is that the tiger on the right is doing a blep. :p:
