Well apart from the normal latency when the torrents are seeding, no.

If you search in this forum on the keywords CRAWLEY and RAMPING, you'll see a huge thread on the subject, led by THENRY. It's that wretched SH1 that's the cause of this particular problem.

SH2ac arrived yesterday :)

it does my nut it that after all this time and documented evidence that shub1 is pants in so many ways that they still have it on the network. Surely they must be more trouble than they are worth.

Not really. They aren't going to recall the CPE en masse. They'll just do what they have been and change them as they go wrong and customers complain. Cheaper and less work.

They are pants though.

Yup, exactly. They're only "more trouble" when they're costing Virgin money. Most of the people still using the Shub probably don't realise how crap it is.

I see BT Wholesale felt left out of the congestion issues. Having allowed one of their core POPs, Manchester Dial House, to congest a couple of months back and fixed it they seem to have allowed another couple to have done so.

Each of the two new ones account for ~5% each of the user base using that BT Wholesale product. In the case of Plusnet that's about 90,000 customers affected all in.

This ignoring their more localised issues with capacity out of exchanges.
