Just returned from an amazing long lunch at The Man Behind the Curtain in Leeds (menu and accompanying wines attached), followed by a couple of cocktails at Trinity Pintura - I had a Cobbler Donostia (Matuselam rum, pedro ximenez, port, fresh orange, garnished with coffee beans, dehydrated orange), and then a Basque Sour (Peinado Spanish brandy, Licor 43, Rioja, lemon, egg white, served in a tall sours glass with a cherry & orange garnish)).
Relaxing(?) now, and perhaps a nice digestif later (Hennessy XO, perhaps). |
