No, I just live in a local village for local people ;) Throughout history invaders were very afraid when they came here. You should see what the Normans built.

I hope it was the cat that bought it in :)

I had been turning the mattress when it needed it but not spotted the bird - Natalie smelt something funny so we investigated ;)

Just found a bug I've been looking for for hours on a site I am upgrading for work.

The site uses a PHP script with Ajax to return an array of dates. Couldn't get this working in IE (although the PHP was returning dates properly, and the code for processing them was correct). The problem? The data sent back to the browser's Javascript interpreter included the word "Return". "Return", when used in the way my code had to to access the returned data is a reserved word in IE, so is not available. IE did not tell me this..

Anyhow, once I worked this out, it was easy to force IE to change the word in the data to another (not return). Lo, and behold, the page works now. Just needs a little tidying and a lot of testing.

Wehey, back online after having no Internet for 4 days. Engineer came out Monday and replaced both the OR Modem and the hub, everything was working when he left. I went out and came back at 4:30 that afternoon, hub displays a solid orange power light. Tried a restart, power down etc, no dice, engineer turns up this morning, manages to get it working, but then it drops the wireless so I restart it. Same thing again, so luckily he bought another hub in from the van, which I connected up and so far so good

You should get yourself a mobile broadband pay as you go dongle for the times you can't get online, they work a treat if you have signal.
