Tomorrow looks rather good. From midnight all the way through to 4pm its almost all negative values.
There are about six x 30 minute spells where it climbs just above 0p (still < 2p). They'll be paying us to cook sunday dinner tomorrow. :D

First thing she who must be obeyed said when i told her was " lets get all the curtains and bedding washed and dried". I just love Agile and Octopus energy.

Agile is still not worth it for me as I can't shift my usage, over the last month Agile is only £1.29 cheaper compared to my Tracker and the month before the Tracker was similarly cheaper.

Our house runs pretty much 24 x 7, we dont have quiet periods, so there isnt much to shift. Our usage is remarkably similar across the day. So overall, savings on the cheaper 1/2 hours slots are more than the extra paid between 4pm and 7pm. A good guide for us is the average Agile price, which is consistantly lower than Tracker, which in turn is lower than SVT (Standard Rate). Winter will be interesting of course, but atm, I have saved over £10 in 16 days. Bonus as well, Octopus have offered me a £100 goodwill payment due to all the issues I had.

It's the same for our household, we have always been heavy user's of electricity and to quote Tesco "any little helps". This will be the first winter on Agile for but by my calculations we should still be well below the SVT.

Do you trust the installer?

The guy who did ours had one of those plug-in [Tone/LED] testers.
It passed - having never seen one before I asked him to show me how it worked.

[The mistake of course is not limited to installing smart meters, it could equally happen replacing any meter, or distribution boards].

FYI as I don't think it's in the instructions, when setting it up your mobile MUST be connected to your 2.4GHz network otherwise install will fail and also connected by Bluetooth, after setup you can revert to your 5Ghz and remove the Bluetooth permissions.

Yeah, I'll use my tablet which spends most of its time on my 2.4 network.
I use it to add all new smart plugs etc (its bluetooth is permanantly on as well).

Yeah, 5 days, its arriving tomorrow apparently.

You can still view the mini info in the regular app on your mobile if you wish after install when that's back on 5GHz.

The Mini won't fit through a standard letter box so hopefully someone will be home unless they can leave in a safe place via their app.

Another thing you can do is 'Spin the Wheel' you get 2 spins for each fuel monthly when you have a Smart Meter so 4 in total. I won £1 the first time I used it right after joining Octopus.

If you have joined Octoplus you will always win atleast 8 points a spin, however I got 500 points for getting Smart Meters which has now built up to 660 which is worth 82 pence that could be added to my account.

You can access the wheel via the app from the Usage tab or from the main webpage.
