Working on that then, I'm guessing the checker isn't too accurate

You have to wonder why they bother with schedules when they just hand the uplifts out to anyone who calls in :)

Be way more sensible if they ask for your postcode before they tell you what speeds you can buy as a new customer, and not release uplifted tiers to new or existing customers in areas with issues.

End of November for Ipswich or cough up £56 to get it now. (Refundable when you leave VM).

I asked on the chat and was told they couldn't apply it as the system wouldn't let them

There is no scheme that Virgin Media run where an upgrade fee is refunded. The only time you get a credit at disconnection is if you've paid against for last bill for longer than the billing period to your disconnection covered.

I was told it would be credited to my final bill that is when I leave VM.

As I said, no such standard process or scheme exists to do that. Even if its done as a one off, then manual credits because you're leaving are extremely rare. Exception credits are part of the process to agree that you'll stay.

LOL, I thought the same. as I can see my CAB from my door as well.

However .............. the actual cable to my phone goes up the street and around the corner to the next "phone" cab, and then back to my house.
Sounds bonkers, but that's the way the houses were cabled when they were built. So that's why I don't get the full 80/20 .....

I spoke to my neighbour who is still on VM, evening speeds are quite bad at the moment, here is the result for my postcode :)

Hold on tight
Your speed boost is on the way…
We’ve already started boosting speeds in your area.

We’ll be in touch between December 2015 and February 2016 to tell you when your speed upgrade is ready.

Seems they rushing it in, in high utilisation areas? But taking care in good areas.

70(75)-150-300.

Why is it called Vivid 200?

Because it's their "next generation optical fibre" which is exactly the same as the current generation optical fibre which doesn't actually provide optical fibre anywhere near your property.
