I'm looking forward to this weekend's Grand Prix. The F1 SD channel was fuzzy, but better than not watching it at all. It is going to look stunning in glorious HD :D

Yes, I am looking forward to seeing it in HD as well. I'll start it in SD, then switch to HD and marvel at the difference. Funny, some things you can't tell much difference between the 2, and yet others like golf and F1 you can see a much sharper picture.

haha just so you can get the full impact...class.

I can normally notice when a channel isn't in HD. If someone in my house is watching a channel in SD that has a HD version, I normally clip them round the ear, grab the remote and change it to the HD channel :D

Am I the only one who subscribes to Sky sports who hasn't got the HD channels yet.Mine are all greyed out.Any ideas anyone?

I don't think it will be too far away if the 4K testing at the world cup was successful.

It will mean anyone who wants to watch 4K will need to have a 4K tele plus a 4K box, which TIVO isnt capable of at the moment.

Sky will probably lead the way though :mad:

One quarter final match and the final was shown in 4K at a cinema in London.

As far as I am aware, Sky were the first to create a 3D channel in the UK, so no doubt they will be the first again as you said.

Will TIVO ever be able to show 4K, or won't it be possible?

I dont think this gen of TIVO will be able to do it. It will mean VM rolling out new boxes.
