Delays can happen. It's probably better to release this information with terms such as Channel "blahblah" is due to launch on Friday 18th January, subject to late changes.

Yeah, that was horrible.

SKY have got loads of niche channels broadcasting in wacky aspect ratios. Trying to watch them on a big TV is pretty painful.

Horse on Bonanza head filled the whole screen:D I have noticed like ITV SD Columbo is sometimes is horribly stretched but in on the HD channel it is in the correct aspect ratio of 4:3 with black columns:)

To be fair, nobody cares but them. If XP ends up as largely HD channels it just puts meat on the bones of their argument, I'd just prefer not to hear the mantra repeated too often.

But with XP losing a batch of its channels to M+, it does need beefing up a little with something new. There's still probably a significant number of XP users without HD.

I think Virgin are moving channels to new packages (And soon to move channels to new channel numbers) to make way for the following channels to appear:

Disney Cinemagic HD (Was listed on Virgin Media.com today)
More4 HD (Well More4 +1 has launched this week)
Universal HD
E! HD
Style Network

And I think Virgin may sign an deal with the following broadcasters in 2013:

=== Own by British Sky Broadcasting ===
-Pick TV +1
-Sky1 +1
-Sky Atlantic
-Sky News HD
-Sky Sports News HD

=== Own by British Telecommunications Plc ===
-BT Sports 1
-BT Sports 2

=== Own by CSC Media Group ===
-Bliss
-BuzMuzik
-Chart Show TV
-Chart Show TV Dance (Was Dance Nation TV).
-Flava
-Kix!
-POP
-Pop Girl
-Pop Girl +1
-Scuzz
-The Vault
-Tiny Pop +1

=== Own by Discovery Networks Western Europe ===
-Animal Planet HD
-Animal Planet +1
-Discovery Home & Health +1
-Discovery Knowledge +1
-Discovery Science +1
-DMAX +1
-DMAX +2
-Investigation Discovery
-Quest +1

=== Own by Disney-ABC Television Group ===
-Disney Channel HD
-Disney Cinemagic HD
-Disney Cinemagic +1
-Disney Junior +
-Disney XD HD

=== Own by ESPN Inc. (The Walt Disney Company/Hearst Corporation) ===
-ESPN America HD

=== Own by Fox International Channels (News Corporation) ===

=== Own by ITV Digital Channels Ltd (ITV plc) ===

It would certainly beef up the XL package if all of those were added. :D

Sorry to disappoint you. I am more than happy with what seems to be coming. Just have no wish to see a lot of them, but then possibly only view around 15-16 channels and that`s on XL :D
