What Mariner should have done, was booked the first bad tackle and there were plenty, especially when Vidic smacked a Spurs player round the face, and he got away with it.

ok ......................... so spurs were perfect and did absolutely nothing wrong , and i think if Vidic had 'smacked' him around the face he would have been sent off :erm: and if not he will definately get banned , just watch the game and realize you were outplayed :)

It depends on how many you expect,

Well any would be nice. Show the world he can score like a £30m player should. Or even a £20m player. Maybe even a £15m player.

Yep wonderful, the attributes of an attacking midfielder.

That is what he is really, Bergkamp/Cantona/Sheringham they are aren't strikers in a goal poaching mode. I know what you mean about him, I would like a few more goals, but as long as he is creating goals for others I don't mind it too much. The way we are now, we need that link, we have no goal scoring midfielder and one out and out starting goal scorer (although he played two people today).

If he is creating goals for other team mates, fine, carry on. I actually prefer Utd not having a target man and I do think that we play better when we get goals from around he team.

I was actually glad when van Nistelroy left, to be honest. We have never really played with an target man and it doesn't suit us.

Oh, and Arthur...3-1 with only 10 men ;) :D

Soooo yeah that was disgusting by Adebayor. Hopefully he'll be punished.

And WOW@That celebration, still think he doesn't need to get a grip?

Disgusting behaviour.

Certainly today, most entertaining we have played in some time. If we can do that against all the Prem we may well not regret having £80Mill and no Ronny. I wasn't glad to see Ruud leave cos he was great (best out and out goal scorer of this generation for me) but I know what you are saying, we relied on him way too much.

I am hoping Anderson continues this form, first half he was really good. Hearing good things about Hargreaves (Ignore the papers) so hopefully he is back come November. If we can knock that bunch of wannabes off their soapbox next week we might just be ok.

Hopefully Adebayor wont get away with punching the ball into the net like last time.

What a clown. Oh, and thanks to his celebration and in turn the rabid Arsenal fans, a steward got injured:

Quote:

It later emerged that a match steward needed hospital treatment after being hit by a flying object in the wake of Adebayor's goal celebration.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "The steward received a head injury from a flying object which appeared to have been thrown from the direction of the away end.

"We were told the steward was unconscious for a few seconds before being taken to hospital and later discharged."

The spokesman, who could not confirm whether the steward was male or female, said police would investigate the assault.

Not so sure on going for the head but he looks to try and stamp on him, his hand at least

What a complete looser, Peter Crouch wannabe at best. Realised RVP is 10x the player he is and decided to stamp him out for a few weeks. Hand balls into the net against us, lies on Live TV that he headed it in, causes hassle at Gunners gets rejected by Chelsea and UTD and dives on the Wanna Be Big Club Gravy train as a get out of Jail free.

Crappy little man at a crappy little club.

Well, His is Man City's problem now. Good Luck to them. At least he is being the player he was in his first season for us for them.

He needs to be held to account for the stamp but I believe the yellow card for inciting the Arsenal fans (who themselves may be held to account for reacting the way they need, no excuse for that, surprising as well considering Arsenal fans are usually quiet)

FA chief Ian Watmore told BBC Sport: "I was unimpressed because of the problems between the Arsenal fans and Adebayor. We'll look at it on Monday and then bring it to the disciplinary process."

Watmore would not be drawn on the possible length of any ban Adebayor could face.

Ooh 1st time ive seen his stamping there , i have always wondered if certain players do this just to have a nice holiday you can just imagine them doing it ?there dumb and extremely lazy players who might think i know what a nice ban 3 weeks off time to spend some of this money.

omg thats a nasty 1 from Ade on RVP, hope the git gets a nice lovely ban from the FA but doubt that will happen.

okay havent seen the game at all so cant comment on it but fair play to ManC for beating us like that.

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010

He could well get a 3 game ban (why not more?) as that's what Ball got for a stamp on Ronaldo few years ago.
