Interesting news Premier Sports and Boxnation are to join Talk Talk TV.

Will be interesting to see how much Premier Sports retails for on TalkTalk. ;) Wonder if the two channels will make it onto BT TV as well? Simon Green who heads up BT Sport is a director of BoxNation and Premier Sports' mirror channel Setanta distributes BT Sport in Ireland so I'm surprised in a way that TalkTalk has got in before BT.

An intersting read, thanks Gavin D.

I have a couple of thoughts about this article

Perhaps BT have decided that the PL rights will be too expensive this time round. A chain is only as strong as it weakest links and perhaps BT have realized its best, and cheapest, chance of breaking Sky's proverbial chain is to take away lots smaller rights and de-vaule Sky's offering.

Either that or BT are trying to get Sky to pony up large sums of cash before the PL auction meaning that BT can go higher than Sky this time around.

Personally I hope BT can nab the cricket rights, not overly fussed about the football.

Like Den says though, I can't imagine Sky rolling over and losing its main rights anytime soon. It is going to be interesting to see how much money Sky can and will spend before admitting defeat in the future with either sports or BB. I can see BT being in this for a long, long time.

The premier league rights would be a big loss for Sky should BT win more packages this time around however I feel its customers would still gain the option to subscribe to BT Sport via the platform anyway.

The Sky platform is the largest pay TV platform in the country whoever wins the rights would have to use it to monetise the content.

I'm referring to the small box BT put up on screen , it wouldn't be so bad if it was used occasionally but during today's United game it was popping up every 2 minutes sometimes just for pointless shots.

Then its vm's replacement for the numbers which appeared in the top right

That's funny cause when watching Assenal last night the number was there as well.

I only noticed it yesterday whilst watching the Arsenal match, and I thought it had something to do with SS. I hope VM aren't going to be showing that sign very often.

I watched the Celtic Dundee United game at my brothers who has Virgin Media. At one point you had the score at the top left corner, the SKY Sports 3 sign at the top right, the number just above the SKY Sports sign and the Virgin Media "heart" symbol at the bottom right. I'm sure the red button sign made an appearance too. Way too much stuff being displayed on the screen. None are major distractions but once your aware they are all on screen together at the same time it starts to play on your mind.

I can imagine. I thought all this number business was going to be a temporary thing a few years back, but it seems like it is the norm now. Even worse that VM jumped on the idea after SS.

According to this it seems Talk Talk are adding the A&E channels also.
